TV star Robson Green has been filming around Cumbria for his latest BBC show – and has visited an iconic Lake District attraction.
Honister Slate Mine was thrilled to host Mr Green over the weekend, while he was filming for his latest series Robson Green’s Weekend Escapes, which is set to air on BBC in January.
The series is back after its hugely successful debut earlier this year, continuing to showcase the best of Britain’s natural beauty and outdoor pursuits.
His visit to Honister Slate Mine is part of the series’ focus on the importance of good mental health and slowing down the pace of life.
During the filming with Honister staff, Mr Green took part in the All Day Pass, an activity that involves descending a mountain gorge and swimming through crystal-clear pools.
A spokesman said: “Honister Slate Mine is proud to have been part of Robson Green’s Weekend Escapes, showcasing the incredible scenery and exhilarating outdoor experiences that can be found in Cumbria.
“The management and staff of Honister Slate Mine are excited to watch the series unfold on the BBC next year and look forward to welcoming more visitors seeking their own escape in the heart of the Lake District, one of England’s areas of outstanding natural beauty.”
He was spotted in Hartside earlier last week and had his picture taken with two Eden police officers.
