A Lake District hotel is on the market for £7.25 million.
The Derwentwater Hotel in Portinscale, near Keswick, went out of business during lockdown in 2020.
It reopened in August of that year, following a hotel management agreement with Bespoke Hotels.
These included Shearings Holidays, which used the Derwentwater Hotel as a base for coachloads of tourists.
The hotel was closed since March that year because of lockdown.
Two months later, it was announced that the hotel was not going to reopen due to the impact of COVID-19, making it the North Lakes’ first major tourism casualty of the coronavirus lockdown.
Christie & Co is selling other hotels for the same client.
The 66-bedroom hotel, which has a lake frontage, may be suitable for redevelopment, say Christie and Co.
The three-star hotel was originally built in the 1900s. The main hotel building is of traditional stone.
The property has three storeys with a two-storey side extension for staff accommodation.
Opposite the hotel is the Derwent Manor building which is a large detached stone built building with hipped and pitched slate roof. Along with a terrace of four self contained holiday flats and a further stand-alone cottage.
