Several temporary road traffic restrictions are to be put in place for the three-day Lakesman triathlon event which will start in Keswick on Friday.
There will be a temporary road closure on the U2936 Lake Road from its junction with the B5289, extending in a south westerly direction for approximately 460 metres from midnight on June 17 to noon on June 19.
A suitable alternative route for motor vehicles will be available via the A66 and the A5271 Crosthwaite Road.
The U2880 Church Lane, from its junction with the B5289 High Hill, extending in a north westerly direction for 210 metres will also be closed temporarily. There is no suitable alternative route available for motor vehicles.
And the U2219 from its junction with the B5289 High Hill, extending in a south-westerly direction for 255 metres will also be closed between 6.30pm on June 17 and 23.59 on June 18. A way for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times during the restrictions that are detailed above.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting and loading or unloading, at any time on any day, on both sides of the U2219, from its junction with the B5289, extending in a south-westerly direction for 255 metres and on the western side of the A591 Crosthwaite Road, from a point approximately 130 metres south-east of its junction with the A66, extending 170 metres in a southerly direction.
The restriction will also affect both sides of the U2880 Church Lane, from its junction with Vicarage Hill, extending in a north-westerly direction for 250 metres from 6pm on June 17 to 23.59 on June 18.
