A social media star who has become known as the Fell Foodie will be cooking up a curry on the Lake District hills today.
Harrison Ward will be on Catbells at 10am creating his dish to sate the appetites of those attending a day-long Networking in Nature event being hosted by Cumbria Chamber of Commerce at the Newlands Adventure Centre in Keswick over the weekend.
It will then be back to Newlands for talks from senior instructor Jack Beaumont from Newlands and Harrison.
Harrison Ward is a proud Cumbrian who has turned the mountainous landscape he calls home into his kitchen. After discovering a passion for hiking in 2016 following a drastic life change, it was not long before a lifetime love of cooking was merged with this new interest.
These days he can often be found creating delicious, restaurant style meals on minimal camping equipment up in the hills or voicing his struggles with mental health and alcoholism on various platforms and stages. Harrison has been featured by many media outlets including Mary Berry and BBC 2’s Love to Cook.
Harrison has been invited to speak at various organisations and has also been invited to demonstrate his love of outdoor cooking at dozens of festivals including Kendal Mountain Festival.
Eight companies are represented at the moment and Denise Gosney from Razzamatazz Theatre school will be attending who was backed by Dragon’s Den in 2007.
