Keswick Town Council’s visitor management working group have recommended to Cumberland Council that the temporary toilets at the start of the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trail be taken away in mid to late September.
Members of the town council heard at their latest meeting that the decision has been taken in order to focus on pushing for a longer term solution to the toilet issue.
Clerk Vivien Little said that the toilets were being cleaned four times a week but the council was still receiving complaints about them.
