A warning for heavy rain has been issued for Cumbria this week.
The Met Office has said the county will be hit with the heavy rain and some flooding from early on Tuesday morning and into Wednesday evening.
It added that over the course of 36 hours on high ground across the North West that up to 200 millimetres of rainfall could accumulate.
The forecaster added that there was also a risk of gusty wind, coastal gales and thundery weather – with conditions turning more autumnal and unsettled.

- Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely
- Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
- Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
- Some interruption to power supplies and other services likely
The warning will remain in place until 6pm on Wednesday evening.
