A section of the A66 has reopened following a collision involving a HGV this morning.
The road was closed westbound between the A591 near Keswick and the A5086 near Cockermouth.
The second lane was also forced to close on the eastbound carriageway due to a fallen tree following the collision.
Drivers were advised to take alterative routes where possible as the road remained closed for some time while recovery took place, police said.
The collision was reported to police at around 1.35am and the road reopened around 12.30pm.
