Motorists who are still out on the roads around the area despite the lockdown will find closures are planned over the coming weeks.
An emergency road closure has been in place since Monday on the U2216 in Braithwaite village adjacent to property called Ash Croft to carry out repairs to a water main.
The closure could be in place for up to 21 days and although a way for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained no suitable diversion is available.
From Monday road closures are planned for a section of the Borrowdale Valley road to allow United Utilities to carry out work.
Day one will see the road closed from 6pm to 6am; on day two a sign will be in place, but access for vehicles will be maintained; day three will see the road closed from 9am until approximately 3pm.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be in place but anybody using the road during the closure times will need to take a 27-mile diversion via the unrestricted sections of Borrowdale Road, High Hill, Keswick, A66, Whinlatter Pass, and B5289 (Buttermere).
Carriageway realignment work is to be carried out overnight on the B5322 St John’s-in-the-Vale Road from Wednesday 1st April for seven days.
The road will be closed from 7pm until 6am with a signed diversion via the unrestricted section of the B5322, A66 and the A591 via Penrith Road and Chestnut Hill.
