Domestic bin collections in Keswick and the rest of Allerdale will take place a day later than usual next week because of the bank holiday on Monday 25th May.
The temporary change includes bins normally emptied on Fridays will instead be collected on the Saturday (30th May) before normal service is resumed from Monday 1st June.
Garden waste collections have resumed in Allerdale after initially being suspended because of coronavirus but are now restricted to one bin per property. To check when a collection is due, go to https://www.allerdale.gov.uk/en/bincollections/
Meanwhile, Allerdale Borough Council’s customer services staff will be available on 0303 123 1702 and via web chat on www.allerdale.gov.uk up to 4.30pm on Friday (22nd May) before closing until 8.45am on Tuesday 26th May. All its customer contact centres/area offices remain closed for face-to-face queries and appointments because of the coronavirus shutdown.
People can still report problems like missed bin collections, fly-tipping and dog mess through the council’s ‘Report It’ section on the website and the myAllerdale mobile app on Apple and Android devices.
