Fire crews from Keswick, Penrith and Workington along with police, ambulance and coastguard helicopters had to turn out to rescue three people in drill-powered inflatable canoe after they had capsized on Derwentwater on Saturday.
The trio had called for help just after 1pm. Two of them were rescued from Rampsholme Island by firefighters and the National Trust warden with the third person was located on the shore.
