A dinosaur walk around Keswick on Sunday proved to be a roaring success for charity.
The majority of the T-Rex trekkers that turned out for the hike were wearing inflatable dinosaur costumes, although one came dressed as a flamingo.
They met at Keswick’s Moot Hall for a flat, 5km walk around Fitz Park, Crow Park and on to Friars Crag and back.
The walk with a difference was organised by Huddersfield’s Jay Mistry who is best known for organising his festive hikes around the town at Christmas.
It and another dinosaur walk he organised in the Peak District on Saturday helped to raise £6,000 which will be split between The Christie Charity and mountain rescue.
Jay says this Christmas will be the last year that he will be organising his festive walks around Keswick but adds that he has some friends interested in taking over the event.
