
A Lake District walker was airlifted to hospital after suffering chest pains.
Keswick Mountain Rescue Team was called out to Causey Pike on Tuesday, May 26, at around 1.10pm.
A 79-year-old female walker was in difficulty.
Due to the potential seriousness of the incident, the Great North Air Ambulance was called, which landed above the casualty site.
Medics were dropped off and made their way down to the casualty.
Keswick Mountain Rescue Team deployed to Stoneycroft Beck car park.
One team member made his way quickly up on an e-bike with immediate medical care equipment, two remained at the car park to be taken with a stretcher by the helicopter and other team members approached the location on foot.
The walker was treated on site by the Great North Air Ambulance crew and was then stretchered down to the helicopter.
She was flown to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle for further assessment and treatment.
