Keswick Town Council calls for people to stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives
Keswick Town Council is urging people to avoid travel and remain at home in a plea to help protect the community.
Our office at 50 Main Street is now closed but staff working from home are picking up emails – please use this method of communication if you have any urgent comments or questions and send your email to: [email protected]. A reply will be sent as soon as reasonably possible. If you need to telephone our office please leave a message – these will be monitored regularly.
Town Council meetings have been cancelled until further notice along with the Annual Town Meeting scheduled for 16th April 2020. We hope that this can take place at a later date.
Councillors are in constant communication by safe methods to ensure that any necessary action can be agreed and put in place. Their contact details are on our website at www.keswicktowncouncil.gov.uk if you need to communicate with them.
Keswick Parks
Hope Park and Fitz Park will remain open for the time being so that people can enjoy their permitted exercise but we urge everyone to follow the recommended social distancing rules – staff are carrying out essential work only and we ask you to please respect any member of staff you may see by not approaching them.
The play area, Multi Use Games area, outdoor gym and tennis courts at Fitz Park are now closed and the car park at Crosthwaite Road has been closed until further notice to discourage visitors. Hope Park golf and cafe are also closed.
The situation is under review during this constantly changing period and we ask the whole community to follow advice and help us to keep Keswick safe!
