Students from across Cumbria will find out today what marks they received in their A-levels.
The coronavirus pandemic has made it tough for this year’s cohort of youngsters, who did not sit exams.
The exams were cancelled after the outbreak of COVID-19 and teachers were told to submit grades for each student instead.b
Exam boards then moderated the grades to make sure they were not significantly higher than previous years.
However, the Government yesterday announced that pupils can use mock exam results if higher than their calculated grades, sit the exams in the autumn or the school or college can appeal on their behalf.
That followed a U-turn by the Scottish government over its moderated grades, which were released last week.
