A decision about the future of Keswick leisure pool and gym will not be made until after lockdown, a spokesman for Allerdale Borough Council has revealed.
An announcement was expected about the status of the attraction after the Reminder learned that discussions involving contractors had been taking place.
A council spokesman said on Wednesday: “We are in a vastly different position to what we were in last week.
“There is not too much more to say other than the pool and gym site will have to remain shut in line with national lockdown restrictions.
“There is nothing specific that we will be saying about Keswick pool at the moment.
“The lockdown has triggered that. We will be revisiting the consultation with the easing of any restrictions.”
