Keswick’s Thursday market will run as normal on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
But the Saturday market will not go ahead on Boxing Day.
Instead, it will return on Saturday January 2nd.
The dates were announced this week in a string of changes over the festive holiday period to public services by Allerdale Borough Council, which runs the twice-a-week market.
Refuse collections will take place as normal from Monday to Thursday but those scheduled for Friday December 25 will be two days later on Sunday December 27.
Collections on Friday, January 1 will take place one day later.
The council’s office in Keswick will be closed over the Christmas period.
Customer services will be available on the phone and via webchat on the website until noon on December 24.
From then the service will be closed until January 4.
Residents can report issues such as dog fouling, littering and fly-tipping through the council’s website at www.allerdale.gov.uk/en/report/ and the myAllerdale mobile app.
