The Swinside Inn in the Newlands Valley had a busy time on Saturday and to cap it off they had the fabulously funny Jack and Michael Whitehall over for lunch of scampi and Henderson’s own Cumberland sausage.
The son and father team are filming the next series of Jack Whitehall: Travels With My Father and were filming in the area. The famous duo were staying at Armathwaite Hall, whilst filming in the area.
They had been filming with alpacas out on the fells and had been due to film in the beer garden of the 17th century Lakeland inn- but it was so busy it wasn’t possible.
Swinside owner Ben Henderson, said: “We ended up feeding the 23 members of the crew and Jack and Michael inside the restaurant.
“The production team are all in a bubble and have special dispensation to eat inside – but we all had to wear face masks. Jack tucked into the scampi, whilst Michael enjoyed our very own Cumberland sausage.
“It was just too busy for filming Jack and Michael enjoying a beer outside- but maybe another time. They were all such good fun and we really enjoyed the visit.”
After filming in the Lake District Jack, Michael and the crew were due to travel on up to Scotland for the next part of the series.
The TV series is a travel documentary/road trip comedy television series that debuted on Netflix.
