A new pastry chef has been appointed at a Keswick cafe.
Pastry chef, Paula Murchison, former head pastry chef at Sharrow Bay, has joined the team at The Wild Strawberry in Keswick.
She trained under the Roux Brothers in Amsterdam.
Owners of the café, Chris and Emma Bray, carried out a major refurbishment during lockdown. Much of the work was carried out by Chris with the help of local craft and tradespeople. The new-look café is light and modern, but retains the traditional feel of one of the oldest buildings in Keswick.
The couple also gave the outside courtyard a makeover, providing customers space to relax in the open air away from the bustle of Main Street.
“We are so delighted that Paula has joined us,” said Emma.
The café is managed by Leigh Parry who has been with the business since December 2017.
