A motorcyclist who filmed himself pulling wheelies and hitting 130mph was brought to court after he crashed and his camera was seized by police.
Aaron Luck, 21, of Croft Place, Temple Sowerby, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court.
His behaviour on his Suzuki GSX-R600 bike only emerged after police attended a collision involving only his machine, at Caldbeck Common on May 16 last year.
Prompted by a bystander, an officer saw a GoPro camera on Luck’s helmet.

These were among the video clips played in court, which showed Luck pulling wheelies and topping 80mph on the B5289 between Borrowdale and Honister; and hitting 130mph as he drove on the B5291 and A66 eastbound close to Bassenthwaite Lake.
The bike was impounded by police and later crushed after it wasn’t reclaimed.
Luck was given a suspended 12-month prison term for 18 months, and must carry out 200 hours’ unpaid work and was given a rehabilitation requirement, banned from driving for two years and must pass an extended retest.
