Olly Murs and Tom Jones concerts due to take place at Bitts Park in Carlisle next month have been postponed.
Organisers the Lizz Hobbs Group said both concerts will now take place in 2022 following the news that the planned easing of restrictions on June 21 will now be postponed until at least July 19.
Olly Murs was scheduled to perform on July 24, with Tom Jones set to perform the day after.
The Olly Murs concert will now take place on July 22, 2022, with the Tom Jones concert taking place on July 24, 2022.
Liz Doogan-Hobbs MBE, chief executive of Grandslam Live and LHG Events, promoter of the two concerts said: “We are desperately sorry to have made the difficult decision to postpone the Olly Murs and Tom Jones concerts in Carlisle to 2022.
“As much as we were looking forward to a fantastic weekend of music in Carlisle, the four-week delay has caused unsurmountable logistical challenges and everyone’s safety is the most important thing.
“We know this will be disappointing to everyone who had plans to attend, but also for all the artists, contractors and staff who count on these events for work.
“We can only say that both Tom and Olly hope you will retain your tickets and support the rescheduled dates and we’ll look forward to seeing you then.”
Tickets for the postponed concerts will remain valid for the new dates.
All ticket queries should be directed to the ticket agent you purchased your tickets through.
Tickets for both concerts are priced from £39.50 plus booking fee.
