A luxury Lake District spa has won a prestigious national award.
The Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa was named the UK’s Best Countryside Getaway in the Good Spa Guide Awards.
It was shortlisted with nine other spa hotels for the title. Competition was fierce, but Borrowdale’s Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa came out on top.
The Falls Spa manager, Davina Hassell was presented with the award at a ceremony earlier this week.
She said: “I cannot express how much it means to both me, my spa team and the rest of the employees at the Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa to receive this award.
“After an unprecedented year of hotel closures, it is excellent that our beautiful, countryside hotel has gotten the recognition it truly deserves and every single team member across the hotel should be proud of themselves.”
After over a year of virtual ceremonies, spirits were high as the 2021 Good Spa Guide Awards took place at the Spa Life Conference in Bedfordshire.
The annual awards ceremony celebrates the finest spas and hotels across the UK, making it one of the nation’s most prestigious spa awards.
The Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa is part of the Lake District Hotels group.
