Four locally-made camping pods have been given permission for a farm at Newlands near Keswick.
Littletown Farm won approval from the Lake District National Park Authority for the development which will go west of an existing agricultural building.
The camping pods, with six car parking spaces, is part of a farm diversification scheme at the 350-acre site which is home to 1,800 sheep.
The pods would enhance the established tea room, according to documents submitted to the national park authority on behalf of the applicants.
The farm is working with Natural England on a programme to de-stock the upland fells for conservation purposes.
Natural England had no objection to the scheme.
There was a single objection to the plan but the national park ruled it would not have an unacceptable impact and approved the application with seven conditions.
