Getting your car washed next weekend will help families and individuals who are facing financial difficulties due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The annual charity car wash held by Keswick Lions is taking place from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th June to raise money for the Covid-19 Emergency Fund launched jointly by the organisation and the town’s Rotary club at the end of May.
The two clubs are working together to offer emergency grants of up to £100 to support individuals and families in the CA12 area who are being affected financially because the Covid-19 crisis, while also signposting those in need towards other forms of support.
Members of Keswick Lions club will be washing cars on Friday evening from 5-7 pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 6pm using the car wash at Greta Motor Body Works on the Southey Hill Industrial Estate, behind the former pencil factory off Main Street.
People who want to apply to the emergency fund can:

- Each application will be reviewed in confidence by one member of Keswick Lions and one member of Keswick Rotary only.
