Police are investigating after a man in his 20s was allegedly assaulted in Keswick at the weekend.
The incident took place at around 3pm on Saturday on St John’s Street in the town.
Officers said the man was allegedly assaulted by a man in his late 30s to early 40s, of a stocky build, and around 6ft 2in, with black hair, wearing walking boots, shorts and a long sleeved grey top.
He was carrying an orange backpack and wearing a blue face covering and was with a woman of similar age with blonde hair and glasses.
The victim sustained a scratch to his neck and a cut to the inside of his mouth during the incident.
