A Cumbrian firm aims to raised £10,000 for the Lake District Calvert Trust over the next 12 months.
Edwin Thompson has named the charity, near Keswick, as its official charity partner.
The partnership will see staff at Edwin Thompson’s Keswick office take part in a range of fundraising initiatives with an overall target of £10,000.
Joanna Brand, sales negotiator at the Keswick office, said: “We are so proud to support the Lake District Calvert Trust.
“Calvert is a fantastic local charity helping more and more people with disabilities access the benefits of outdoor activity.
“Staff from our Keswick office – and other locations – have already signed up for the Great North Run and Great Cumbrian Run as well as Calvert’s Around the Bays in 80 Days and Get Lost at Lowther Corporate Activity Challenge.
“There’s a real feel-good factor in the office as we start our fundraising initiatives.”
Yvonne Booth, fundraising officer for the Lake District Calvert Trust added: “We are delighted and privileged to have been named as Edwin Thompson’s charity partner.
“Edwin Thompson is a long-standing and hugely respected business with strong local history and national reach. Support like theirs makes all the difference as we continue to challenge disability through outdoor adventure.”
