Essential carriageway resurfacing work will start on two sections of the A591 between Bassenthwaite and Keswick from Monday.
The works are part of Cumberland Council’s ongoing commitment to maintain and improve the local highway network.
To ensure safety for both the workforce and the public, the resurfacing will take place under a full road closure, with signed diversion routes in place throughout.
The project will be delivered in two phases:
1: A591 – Skiddaw Service Station, Bassenthwaite – Monday November 24 to Tuesday December 2;
2: A591 Millbeck – Wednesday December 3 to Friday December 12.
The work is expected to last for up to three weeks, subject to weather and site conditions.
