A dedicated student from Keswick School has been recognised for his outstanding contribution to business.
Jake O’Connor was named the Business Studies Student of the Year 2024, an accolade which leading accountants Lamont Pridmore sponsor annually.
Jake was nominated by Diane Duguid, head of business at Keswick School, for this award because of his exceptional dedication and enthusiasm throughout his GCSE business studies course.
Diane said: “Jake has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and a genuine interest in business. He’s been eager to learn and share his insights, always ready to help other pupils and contribute positively to our classroom environment.
Jake was presented with an engraved glass award and a book voucher by Philip Pridmore, a director at Lamont Pridmore’s Keswick office, ahead of a celebration at the school’s awards presentation evening.
“It’s an honour to recognise another incredible business studies student with this award.
“Jake’s hard work and commitment to his studies are commendable, and we’re looking forward to seeing how he will continue to develop his passion and knowledge as he progresses with his education and future career,” said Philip.
Jake is continuing to study A-level business at Keswick School.
